Mediacom Pays $312mm For AT&T Assets

Mediacom Communications announced today the closing of the acquisition of AT&T Broadband’s Georgia assets. The transaction was valued at $312 MM and was a cash-for-assets transaction. Waller Capital advised AT&T on the sale.

The sale is a continuation of a successful Year 2000 where Waller Capital completed $13.2 Billion of transactions in the cable, wireless and CLEC sectors. In addition to the AT&T advisory role, highlights from 2001 include representing GS Communications in its sale of approximately 125,000 subscribers to Adelphia Communications and Charter in the sale of its Sebastian, Florida systems to AT&T.
